British Taxi is the creation and passion of Dan Burke. A Brit currently residing in Las Vegas, Dan is the owner and force behind Video Tailors, a video production company.
Dan saw an opportunity to put together a one-of-a-kind promotional vehicle (pardon the pun). He collected a fleet of classic British taxis. He’s created British Taxi, the world’s finest collection of taxis. Our fleet spans over 40 years of these classic vehicles.
The History of British Taxis
In England, a taxi was called a hackney, a hackney carriage or a cab. A hackney of a more expensive or high class was called a remise. Taxis have been around since the 1600s and have been motorized vehicles since 1901.
The unmistakable look and shape of these cabs is instantly recognizable as a symbol of London. It is as recognizable a symbol of London as the London Bridge or Buckingham Palace.
What We Do
British Taxi offers these amazing, classic cabs for brand promotion. At any event, party or activation, these are the most popular attraction. There is something about these authentic vehicles that draws the eye and attention of a crowd.
Why British Taxi?
Visibility
Unlike any other vehicle on the road yet immediately identifiable. A trusted global symbol that evokes warm and positive nostalgia.
Sound
The noise from a London taxi is unmistakable. Four cylinder diesel engines purr as they cruise along the strip, people often hear them before they see them.
Access
Because drivers sit on the ‘sidewalk’ side of the car, they are positioned to connect with pedestrians. These interactions outperform all forms of road advertising.
Interactivity
Static displays give people a chance to explore the vehicles. These playful moments offer wholesome consumer experiences, boosted through social media posts.
